Smile CIS From Coastal

Many of you have asked if I use CIS for my printer (continuous Ink system) I have not used any system in the past as I have just read to many horror stories. Yesterday I got a a call from Kieth at Coastal Business (One of the forum Sponsors) telling me about their new CIS system. Now I am interested and will be adding this to my business. Why? First and foremost is the company itself. I have bought 2 presses and paper from this company and I trust them. I have had nothing but perfect service and that is the only way I would even consider writing this. The second thing is the system offers a greater saving of ink and a system that has been tested by coastal before they would even think about putting it on the market. If you thinking about getting a CIS system as I am then give them a call but look at the link below for review. Lou

Thanks Lou. I've met Keith before and he's a top notch guy.

Let us know if you take the CIS step for sure.

Interestingly, that's the same reason why I don't want to use IronAll, which you love and use all the time =)

From what I've read (here and elsewhere), it sounds like BISes (CISes) are a bit difficult to set up sometimes, but generally don't have many problems after that. It also sounds like the biggest problems come from the 1280 printers, and less so for other printers. In other words, it shouldn't be TOO much of a hassle or problem for most printers, just takes a little time.

Obviously, do let us know how it works out. I'll eventually be getting my own CIS system (from the place most recommended on the HTFDP board) to try out myself with hopefully good results =)

I don't know why everyone bags on the 1280. I have one with a bulk delivery dye-sub kit and it works without a single problem every time I start it up. I wish my laser printer worked as well as the 1280.
