need help with time and temp on transfers from Oriental trading
I am pressing some transfers that were given to me by a church for their VBS and they are from Oriental trading company. The only directions in the packet are for a house iron. I called them and they don't have any other info for me. Does anyone know what time and temp I should use on them? Or maybe a starting point to experiment with. I do have some extras. I need to have 140 done by tomorrow.
Thanks!
Jeanette

I would suggest, if the transfer can used with hand iron, to start at 350F and 10 seconds. Cut the transfer in small pieces and try pressing with different time and temp by increasing the temp by 5F to 10F and time by 5 seconds per increment to find the sweet spot.

I think I, too, might start around 350*F. If you find the transfers are gummy or gluey and not really transferring, you can increase your temp and time from there. It's hard to say without knowing what they gave you. Do you have a link to the product, or no, you just have the transfers themselves? Have you looked on the vendors website at all? There might be a clue in the description as to what they are.
If they are plastisols, you probably will need the higher temps Ed recommends. Ed deals with alot of stock transfers and such. Maybe you can post a pic of the image here and someone might recognize it. Just a thought.
