One of the members here gave me a tip for finding the center of the shirt. Fold the shirt in half them press it. This creates a center line down the center of the shirt (Providing you folded the shirt directly in half) Align your design on this line centered and that is pretty much it. Has worked well for me.

There is also a tool called "tee square it" that you could purchase that will aide you in aligning the shirt straight every time.

Here is a video of the tee square it in use

I own the Tee Square it. I don't believe it is all it is cracked up to be. I bought it because it was less expensive than The Perfect Transfer Tool. Probably should have purchased that one instead. The only reason I haven't purchased that is because I purchased another product from the same promter called Printer Jockey which works similar to Harvey Headcleaner and I can't keep that program up and running more than 2 days in a row without getting the ugly windows message "PRINTER JOCKEY HAS STOPPED WORKING" not very handy when it is supposed to work while you are away.

One of the most important things I noticed someone doing at a show that I do all the time now is to put a crease in the center of the transfer paper as well as the shirt. That was by far the beggest thing I learned from the whole day at the Apparel show.
