Default totes and aprons???

Anyone know about totes and aprons?

I want to start a new line of products, and I'm thinking piece of cake... right...
almost the same as a shirt... right....

Any of you experts have anything thing to say about them, are they easy... any tips or tricks.

Thank you in advance.

pretty much. Just have to check the brands with the materials used. Some are man made materials which might be the only set back depending on the type of embellishment used

Lou does a lot of tote bags, so he might be of help also. I think he might even have a video about pressing totebags on his site.

A forum search for totebags might come up with some good past topics.

Make sure you get appropriate materials. We found a few tote bags at a garage sale we thought we'd try for the heck of it. Didn't realize the straps were made of nylon prior to pressing... oh man, that stuff stinks when it melts. Luckily we had a teflon sheet over the top of the transfer, or I'd be peeling nylon off the top of my press I think

I've been using a natural tote made by BAGedge (BE010) for photo transfers.
The body is 100% cotton, the handle is a different color and needs to never come in contact with heat!
I use light transfers, the natural is close to white. Others use opaque paper.

I also use a teflon pillow (from imprintables.com) that fills the bag and allows me to get good pressure on a transfer. Remember to squeeze the air out as you get close to the press lock down. I use very heavy pressure with the pillow.

I load it on the press with the handle toward me and hanging outside the platen. The cotton has a tendency to yellow if you over heat it, don't over do it with the pre-press warm up and you will be fine.

Sold several with a picture of the customers dog on it. I made a little 'bone' graphic under the photo that has the dog's name on it.

I do a lot of tote bags and have a website that sells only tote bags. I use topper 806 a lot. I just sent out 104 to a science and discovery store in New Hampshire. did 50 for a hotel and just got an order for 48 from a medical supply store. what you need to be careful with is the quality of the tote bags. The higher the quality of the tote bag the bigger the problem. Yes you read right. High quality totes use a sizing on the bags and this stuff likes to scorch. I don't have a video but Can offer a lot of advice. Lou
