I mostly use gildan t shirts theyre not that expensive and they have a good quality. But theyre very thick in fabric. My customers like the designs i make them and everything but they tell me that the fabric the shirts have are very thick it isnt that much of a problem but im looking for a better t shirt brand that yall would recommend.
re: Heat press - most purchased shirts - which do you like?
Which oz. Gildan are you using? and where do you buy your shirts?
I use gildan as well and I alternate between the 100% cotton and the 50/50. (I get more requests for the 50/50)
I also use Hanes and FTL. I don't use anvil that much because my customers think they are on the thin side. Have you looked at anvil or any of the other shirts?

Im using a 5.4oz shirt from Gildan i purchased them at blank shirts.com the problem its that theyre to thin and its kind of transperent when you have the white shirt on.They recommended me hanes beefy T's and port and company pc61.
but you tell me which ones could be better or which would you reccomend?

yeah I use hanes beefty tees too and the Gildans I use are 6.01 oz. so a heavier tee may help. I don't think the 6.1 oz are thin at all. I like them and use them all but it really is what the customer like but if I had to choose personally I would go with the hanes beefy Tee.

Yeah your right katrina from what Ive noticed is that ive been looking over my regular t shirts that i have and i noticed that they weighted about 6.2oz and they where more about what i was looking for.so im going with the hanes beefy t.
one more question tho?
Will the weight affect the heat pressing time or tempature in the machine?
and by the way do you know any online shop who could give me a good price on the beefy t shirts
Thanks
javi

nah the weight does not effect the time and temp. I press them all the same but test on a scrape to see your results because I always say every heat press is not created equal.
I use Broders and Alpha for my shirts mainly because I have a distribution center up the road and I can run and pick them up but there are many others. Check the blank wholesale t-shirt section on this forum and you will find others.

Katrina is giving you good advice. Go with the 6.1oz and you'll be in good shape. I use the Port & Authority PC61 or the Gildan 2000 for 100% cotton all of the time. I generally don't have many requests for 50/50, but have used them sometimes because of color choices.
re: Heat press - most purchased shirts - which do you like?
I, too, like the Gildans. I like the Gildan's Ultra Blend. The Hane's Beefy's tend to pill a little too fast for my taste, but if it's not a concern, then they are pretty good, too. Jerzees (29) HW 50/50 hold the color the best for me, don't wrinkle and don't pill, but they are thinner than the Gildan's Ultra Blend, so I just go between both, depending on what for.
I also use Alpha, for the same reason as Katrina. We do customer pick up. Can usually get the stuff the same day.
They will also give me case pricing on a small order. All I have to do is "phone" it in -then they can manually change the prices for me. They never say no, in fact, they are really cheerful, friendly and nice when I call my order in.
Best wishes.
