I am using Thermoflex Plus and my normal settings are 20 secs with the teflon sheet, hot peel the carrier and cover with kraft sheet for 10 secs. This is all done at 350°. I have a 16x20 heat press. Will I need to peel the carrier off at the end or cut the sign into sections? I am thinking that I should cut out the second normal heat application and use a 20 sec press throughout.

I have a possible order of a 2' X 6' banner myself and thinking of using vinyl or cloth material. If I decide on going to use cloth my plan is lay and press each section with short dwell time like 6 seconds, just to keep the placement, until everything are in place. That way the overlapping sections will not be overcooked. Cold peel the backing then press each section covered with teflon or parchment sheet for 10 to 20 seconds. Just like the method I use for thsirts or jerseys. I have 16X20 press also. I did two easter banners for our church made of 2' X 15' ordinary cotton blend cloth. I used fabric transfers sold by Airwaves Inc. instead of thermoflex. Part of the the bannerers were embroidered. The method I used was the same as what I am planning on using for the new order.
Here is one of the curch banners:
Here is my new project which is going to have a lot of overlapping:
BTW where did you buy your cloth banner and how thick is it? How much do charge for that size? You can PM me if you don't want to post it in public.
Please let me know what method you wind up using and what was the outcome?
Thanks.
