Default A Sunie Mug Press for $139!! Any feedback on this mug press?

Hey all! I was just on the Sunie.com site and ran across this mug press on sale for only $139! SunIE.com

I was over at the site bc of the Sunie heat press thread, and saw this deal. It's over 50% off right now!

Does anyone own this mug press? Is it as good as the heat presses they sell? I'm guessing yes, but would love to hear from anyone who might own this mug press.

Also, just wanted to share the info on the deal, in case anyone is looking for a good price on a mug press right now, trying to expand cost efficiently. Thanks, guys.

I thought that was a great price. I was over at the site bc of the Sunie heat press thread, and saw this deal. It's over 50% off right now!

Hey Kelly......
In my humble, humble, humble opinion I would steer people towards a "horizontal mug press" ...... only because w/ the horizontal press one is not limited to placement of the image on, let’s say, tall stainless steel travel mugs, water bottles and Steins.
.....just my HHHO.

That's a great consideration to think about. Thanks, Mrs. B. I'm surprised no one else has anything to say about the Sunie Mug press. I guess that's not as popular as the press. ?

I thought for $140, who cares if you make party favors with it. I thought that was a great price, but am wary. Just because the heat presses are good, doesn't mean the mug presses are, too... so I was hoping someone has one, and can comment.

Thanks for your post. That is a very good thing to consider - for versatility.

You are welcome....

.....but I can't take credit for it.....I had never thought much about it until some man at the Orlando ISS was talking/teaching about presses.

When he mentioned it , I was like - duh, I should have realized that. LOL

I will be able to add my opinion-comment to this thread soon.... about the "mug part" of my sunIE 4-in-1 press.

So far the only comment that I can make is that it stinks to high heaven when heated up!!!!!!!!LOL
The whole house smelled of burnt rubber!!!!!
Hopefully when I run it a bit the smell will decrease, otherwise I will be "mug-pressing" outside in the 99° hot FL sun!

That'll work for me, it's from Sunie. Hope the fumes don't overwhelm you. I think of heat pressing in the heat like eating ice cream in Alaska! Just doesn't go! I look forward to you using the mug press, I'm sure you do, too! Can't wait to see and hear about it.

I would not hesitate to use the mug press from Sunie...so far the heat press has worked well. I have three different mug presses...all were over priced. I have the Geo Knight that is horizontal..but you can burn your fingers trying to adjust it...so they toss in a allen wrench to assist..but I have had it about three years...maybe more and I would bet that I have pressed less than a doz items that needed horizontal..Beer steins have not been a seller for me. I mostly use a heat press from www.novachromechromeusa.com but it is tooooo high. I would also look at www.photomugs.com they are pretty reliable\

Kelly try this for the first link.... Nova Chrome Sublimation, Sublimation Printers, Heat Presses and as to the second...yes I do buy my mugs from Photomugs because they are close enough that I can pick and and avoid shipping costs. I drive a Prius so my gas going and coming is less that $6. They are also the least expensive for me for tiles, plates and other ceramics. In addition I use them for large sublimation outsourcing...say at least 144 or more mugs..etc

I have a sunie, and have been happy with it. I have not used it alot, but it works well. I have a horizontal load...not sure if they still offer it, but it was $129 when I bought it.

I bought the Sunie horizontal mug press. Cannot report on it yet. It did not have a manual and the one they emailed to me reads as though it had been run through an online translator. I've emailed them several times with a specidific list of phrases for retranslation and what I get back is the same manual. Those who are using it: do you preheat it? with a mug in it and closed?

Any idea what these things mean:
The photo is mistiness
Put a finalize cup in heating pad
you must not to open the electric opener
Deal with little sticker

Thanks,
Ernie

Hi Ernie , I do not have a Sunie Mug press but the presses I did own had warning to have a sacrificial mug ( Just a Blank Mug ) in the press and closed when heating up and cooling down the press this will extend the life of the heating element .

" The photo is mistiness " I would take to read that the clarity of the picture is not apparent when you print the image onto sublimation paper . It needs to be heated up and transferred to the substrate before you will see the clarity of the image .

Not sure about the rest of the Translation , hope you get it sorted .

I've only done mugs with wraps in the oven so this is a new learning curve. This is what they say about the "sacrificial" mug:
Notes: when the machine is in rest, put a mug in it and lift down the handle to protect heat print mad.
1. When this machine is not used, please put the finalize design mug into it and close the pressure handspike to protect the baking mat.

So now I know it protects the heating element also. Thanks.
Ernie
