Need to Register?

Hi everyone, I just got a new job for 6 shirts which seems obvious it has to be done on heat press. What is the best way to do the job? Print out the artwork on to inkjet transfer paper and to cut out all of the excess paper or to get a customized plastisol transfer paper made up of the artwork? One of the pieces of artwork is quite big, so if you suggest using inkjet transfer paper, how should I get it to cover the shirt? Any ideas? Thanks.

Light or dark shirt? Single color or multi color? Do you have a printer that will print 11x17 paper?

Thanks for your response. It is 2 color designs with white and black. Some are one color as well. My printer can't do 11x17 nor do I have the paper, I was planning on splitting up the design on to 2 sheets of 8.5x11. What do you suggest I do?
