Default Printing numbers on back of sweatshirt

Hi folks,
Have not posted on this site in the heat transfer section as I have not yet needed to consider this option. I'm doing a screenprint job on the front of a sweatshirt and my client wants to put small 2 -3 inch numbers on the back of each individual sweatshirt. I've looked around the site and gathered some ideas, but not having done this before, I'm hoping a few thoughts from folks might help me out.
First off, I do not have a heat press and am hoping I can use an iron as the numbers are small. #2 I use an epson 1400 inkjet that prints crisp dark images for my screen positives so I'm assuming that would work for me. #3 I'm not sure at all what type of options I would have for the paper to print on and also could I purchase a small amount of them? I've got to print black numbers on light sweats and White on black sweaters, would I need 2 different papers?
Any info would be greatly appreciated and please don't be afraid to point out my stupidity if what I'm thinking is way off base.
Thanks ahead.
Joe

Default Re: Printing numbers on back of sweatshirt

Easiest way in my book
Go down to your local stationary or hardware store and buy some of those stencil numbers.
Tape the two numbers together and some tape around the edges. Place on the sweatshirt and grab a small squeege. Load a small amount of ink on another screen and build some ink up in the squeege. Take the squeege and pull across the numbers. Lift stencils off of sweatshirt.
Presto Instant numbers.
Dry like normal
