Default Heat Press mark on Black 100% Polyester moisture wicking shirt.

I am heat pressing Thermo Film on 100% Poly Performance Mock Mesh Black shirts. I used the smallest pad for the design but I got a "glossy" press mark anyway. I was told to NOT use the teflon sheet when pressing the shirt to get the moisture out before pressing the design (which may have been bad advice...you tell me). I was told by my transfer supplier that the marks would go away after an hour or so. Well over 24 hrs later they are still there. I also tried misting with water and misting with Magic Sizing...neither worked.

If I wash and dry them, will the marks disappear? I tried pressing other parts of the shirt but then I get new lines (outlines) over the old press marks, I can't get an even look.

Should I try using a regular iron? If so, what setting?

Should I try using a flat steam press (one of those machines that looks like an oversized waffle maker but is flat)?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help. I have read a lot of topics on this but have not been able to find a solution to this since I've already pressed all the shirts.

UPDATE: Washing did not help either

Thanks so much.
