My shirts get lighter where the platen presses the shirt when doing heat transfers. I believe it washes out, but does anyone else notice this happening to theirshirts and is it normal?
THANKS
I may have it backwards... maybe they do get darker. Either way if it doesnt go back completely after cooling, it def. does after washing. I get it when using navy gildan 100% cottens and jerzees 50/50 pink. The only other colors I have used is white and light grey. Will be doing green this week though
so I guess its nothing to be concerned about anyway. THANKS
Yes the shirts will turn darker when the heat is applied, just wait a couple of minutes and the shirt will return to its normal color. If your shirts are turning Brown or smoking-TURN YOUR HEAT DOWN,
LOL.
I have an exception to that generality becareful of t-shirts called garment washed - they change color but do not change back. I have 18 pieces that I just ate as proof. No I should have remembered that so my bad. Back in the day when neon was all the rage I had to becareful not to fold them in half on even the dryer

The stone wash tees are a challenge as well. I use cold peel when I press these. The dwell time is less and the window is reduced. I still see it but so far I have not had any come back. But ideally they should be screenprinted. Unfortunately I am not a screenprinter and with the economy where it is I am not turning anything away but I always steer away from these if possible.
