Default Multi-Part Heat Pressing

I was not able to locate any information on this, so i am posting it here.

Say i have a 11"x17" transfer paper already pressed onto a t-shirt. I just did it, so it is fresh, but my image is to cover a larger part of the t-shirt. So i have basically multiple transfers that i need to unit onto the t-shirt.

Has anyone every done this?
What were your experiences?
What would, or do you recommend?

I have never tried this, but i have a few designs i want to put on t-shirts that are rather large and would mostly cover the entire t-shirt.

Yes i know there is screen printing, but i do not want to really go that route.

Anyone that can shed some light into this, and help me out i would greatly appreciate it.

Cheers!

So no one had created one art piece out of multiple transfers?

I really dont see an issue doing what you want to do. I assume the transfers are trimmed and going in different placements on the tee? I cant help you on overlapping transfers as I havent done it.

I have tried a few with Dye-sub and using JPSS.

The Sublimation came out better but you need a big press as the paper does not stick and will move if you try to press in sections.

JPSS will stick to the shirt and it is easy to press but the lines where the transfers meet is just visible up close.
Trying to do an all over with JPSS, I had trouble peeling the transfer and had to re-heat the shirt several times to get all 8 sheets of 8 1/2 X 11 JPSS off of the shirt.
The best way to do it that I have found is to try to have sections that do not meet on the second or third sheet. Just several smaller pressings comes out OK.
I use a carrier sheet to line then all up and I use a Teflon pillow and make sure that I cover everything with a Teflon sheet.

Nice, thanks for the tips there. I was just wondering if it was possible or not. I am going to try a few techniques and see if i can get it to work. Worth a try at least. Thanks again.
