Default Question about layering a two color design on tee shirt

Hello everyone,
I was asked to do some tee shirts for a local election. They should be pretty easy but I had one quick question. I need to put some red words on a blue background. Should I stick the letters on to the blue first or I was thinking I would do the blue a few seconds shorter then lay the red on top and press. I will be using Siser easy weed. Any suggestions would be great as they want the shirts for next Fri.

Go with your second idea. When we have to overlap vinyl, we press the first one just long enough to get it to stick the shirt. then press the second one for the full time. Good luck

Clay is right on....actually there is no way to put the blue on the red before pressing.

Thank you for the quick replies. Is it a problem to peel the baking off of the vinyl that has not been pressed as long, or is it just be very careful
Thanks, Karen in MA

it should peel the same, just do it slow, it the vinyl lifts a bit, you will need to hit it again. also most manufacturers that i have used for two colors recommends full dwell time for each color. i usually do it for the shortest recommended time the first color and then full time the second. never had a problem, i use easyweed also. 302 degress for 10 sec frist color and 10-15 the second.
