We are about 3-4 months away from opening up our 3rd screenprint/embroidery shop. Our last shop had a 4 head Brother, 8 color press & 4 color press, #'s printing press, and a rotary engraver for trophies.
This time we are looking to purchase the following:
Versacamm vp-540
DTG printer (probably the HM1-C or Viper)
Engraver (for both flats/cylindrical items)
Toyota emb machines (networking - 2 or 3 heads)
We are looking to use a contract printer for orders too big for the
DTG machine (like over 100 lights & 40-50 darks - will try to narrow these down as we get into it)
We are hoping to not have to deal with the mess/chemicals of screenprinting this time around. We still have all our contacts and are not worried about getting the business. We would only be newbies on the Versacamm and
DTG.
While we are definitely not newbies to the biz, looking to go without a printing press for the first time does make my heart jump a little. We have about $100k to start up and we were looking to spend about $70k on equipment. I was wondering what any of you might think about this business plan or if you have any other input...
Thanks for any input!!
