Default Buying a heat press from ebay...

I'm a complete newbie and I've been reading some messages here that talk about heat pressed which are hundreds of dollars and sometimes over a thousand dollars. But I went on ebay and there people are selling heat presses for two hundred dollars.

Is it safe to buy heat presses off ebay? They're a good price there but are the heat presses any god or are they just junk?

There is a mix of good and junk, and sometimes if you are lucky you may get a good one, for example a used brand name. But then it will lack any warranty. If it breaks you are in your own.
Then you have the new ones, if they are too cheap to be true, well...
I think there are places like Pro World that sells an inexpensive press, for less than $200, and they will give you technical support, warranty, etc.
I 've never got one of those, so I don't know first hand, but it has a good review among many people here, who bought it.

slight correction I think..ProWorld does not sell a press for under $200 UNLESS you buy a fairly large amount of transfers. That press is a Sunie (Seiki) 15x15 and will sell alone for about $299 plus shipping...Or you can buy direct from Sunie for the same...
Proworld is on the east coast...or eastern area and Sunie is in Nevada..so shipping could be what determines where you go
I have had a Sunie 15x15 for about a year...no problems...works fine

I like the sunIE press!

I purchased my first sunIE/seiki from ebay(beginning of last year)....the 15x15 press.......It has been such a great press, that I have just recently purchased their "multifunction heat press", but I ordered it directly from their site....sunIE.com.
