Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I have a HP Color Laser Jet 4600 printer. Does anyone know about using this printer for making heat transfers? Want high quality transfers. Best paper and Ink?
Imageclip seems to be one of the better transfer papers for lasers. Not sure about your particular printer. You can try searching on it at the top of the page. Otherwise, you can always order a sample and try it or ask the paper seller about your particular printer.
We have not have very good experience with our customers using HP printers for laser heat transfer paper. HP's usually run very hot and will melt the paper. Okidata's are the printers we suggest.
ok so I am just getting started in the heat transfer/tshirt business. Can you help me out. I see that you work for a supplier. Should I just order my transfers, or can I make them alot cheaper?
It's almost always cheaper to do the work yourself and than to pay someone else to do it. I would suggest printing your own transfers. However, i would not use your HP printer. There is a good chance it will melt the paper you run through it. Cost wise...would you be willing to purchase another printer?
