Right printer for Sublimation on Mugs?

Default Right printer for Sublimation on Mugs?

We are getting and Epson R1900 Printer. Is this good for doing sublimation on mugs?

It depends on whether there is sublimation ink for that model...I do not think there is but even if it is available I would pass on this printer because it uses 8 carts and since sublimation ink is very expensive AND you don't need 8 colors for sublimation...you would be wasting $$. The 1400 has 6 carts...more than you need again and they cost is $75-$85 per cart...I used 4 colors for years with success...I just purchased a Ricoh GX7000 which uses only four colors. Have not received it yet but from first tests, it should be fine and it use gel ink and should be better in the long run
