Default epson stylus pro 4800

im looking to buy a new epson stylus pro 4800. i will be using it to make positives for my screen printing. i would also like to know if it would work for heat transfer. i have been reading that durabrite inks is the way to go. this printer comes with Epson UltraChrome K3TM Ink Technology. has anyone tried out this ink for transfers, if so how did it work. i also wondered if i could use durabrite inks for this printer

Seems like a few members are using ultrachrome inks successfully with epson printers to print transfers. I think durabrite ink is preferred, but from what I've read, ultrachrome can also work.

You should check at the epson site to see if durabrite inks will work with that printer.

I think ultrachrome is a pigment ink as well.
