Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I purchased a transfer from a company (not homePrinted) in one area there is about an 1/8 inch in one small area that did not stick when I peeled. Can I put wax paper or something over the shirt and press it again for a few seconds to get it to stick. I don't want to ruin it since it has to get on a jet to Sweden on Wednesday.
I think I've read that you can repress an area of a transfer, but don't quote me on that. Hopefully one of the heat press experts will see this and answer for sure.
most of the time (depending on the transfer ink type), yes you can re-press it by covering it with a teflon sheet (wax paper ok but not prefered), rub it was it cools, than remove the cover/teflon sheet Cold.
Are you using a clam shell press? It sounds like you may have some cold spots. Try adding sweatshirts to your press to build up the pressure. I've found that that helps.
Yes, I'm using a Hotronix. Tonight, I reheated the shirt, rubbed it down and it is now fine. The problem was when I peeled the paper off, a little bit stuck to the paper and came up from the shirt. Supposedly the Hotronix is not supposed to have cold spots.
