Default Is this image heat transferrable?

Hi,
I had someone ask if I could put this 1 color image on a heather shirt, 1 custom order shirt. I've thought heat transfer would be the best most inexpensive way, but am not sure. I'm concerned that the background of the image would be white and it just won't look right seeing as the shirt is a different color. Can this image be placed on a heather shirt with a heat transfer and if so what type of paper?
I'd appreciate any tips.

Maybe you could change the white to a heather color. Try using a layer.

Yes you can put this on heather gray but depending on the type of paper you might have some shadowing. You could also place a heather gray background and you should be good.

It wont come out white on the shirt when you press it, the shirt just turns a little darker where there is no ink.

I would suggest trimming around the design for best results.

I would suggest having plastisol transfers made so it can be put on any color shirt.

David...since this is one only custom..plastisol might be too expensive...how about a DTG print

This was done with a light transfer, Carefully trimmed. We do them all the time.

I don't know how big you're going, but if it's a one time deal, I don't think it would be entirely impossible to do this in vinyl. I'd love to try it sometime with a better copy of the graphic. LOL

I use laser printer paper and I would first try Image Clip, which I think would do a nice job.

Second would be Duracotton/JPSS (inkjet paper) trimmed close.

The biggest hurdle to a 'good' transfer is doing it on heather gray...that is why I suggested DTG..or vinyl for a one off
