Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Hello all!
I've came to this forum several times but finally registered because I couldn't find any posts that direct my problem.
Okay... my press is pressing everything but hot-peels. I've been doing cold, puffs, litho, printer, and flocks with no problem at all even at varying temps and pressures.
However, any hot-peel I try it's failed I've adjusted temp give or take 10 each way from 385 and adjusted pressure from medium as directed to med/high and high and still no good transfer.
Like I said every other print is working and I've tested my temp on my platten so I know it's not the press...
Does anyone have any and all (at this point) suggestions??? Please!!!!!

Where did you get the hotpeels? What is your dwell time? Did you pre press the shirts? Can you post a picture of the transfer and the results encountered?
All of my Hots are mainly X-it! brand got them from Pro World Inc.
Pre-press for 7 seconds. Place the transfer and press, like I said I've been varying time, temp, and pressure to try to get something to come out but it's not, and yes I've tried with pad, without pad, with teflon sheet and again without.
For the most part they are all sticking when I peel or if I do get them off they have more ink on the paper than what's on the shirt, and when I try to repress because I've pulled I get "shadowed".
They are stored flat, room temp, and correct moisture as far not too dry and not damp.
What part of the country do you live in? What is the dwell time you are pressing? What fabric content and brand of tees are you using? How long ago did you purchase the transfers? I would start at 400 degrees, med. pressure and a dwell time of 10 seconds. I would then increase dwell time to 14 seconds and see what happens. Let me know.
I'm in Michigan, I started my time from 10-12 as stated and after that it's been varied 7 to 18 seconds that I've also tried to press at thru my trial and error sessions... to which I've had no evail. But I will try your suggestion.
