Default Bulk Ink Systems for Epson C88+

While bulk systems have bene discussed a few times here, people have rarely mentioned where they actually got their CIS systems. We're finally at a stage where we are ready to get a bulk system set up and I'm looking for recommendations. I was originally just planning on buying one from TLM, but since Cindy had to discountinue a lot of their products, she's not offering them anymore.

The only place I saw mentioned when I checked past threads was Ink Jet Fly. Seems quite reasonably priced; has anyone had or heard of any significant problems with this? I'll be using Magic Mix inks.

As far as the printer goes, the C88+ seemed like a good bet. (We already have Epson printers and have been using Durabrite, but we'd like to get a seperate printer with the CIS.) A wider format would be handy to have, but I don't think I really want to battle with the 1280's inevitable problems with the bulk system. (And, if we do need to go wider, there's always vinyl or plastisol.) I am assuming that a CIS that says it works with the C88 will also work with the C88+.

I recently bought my wife an epson c88+ since she didn't have a printer and kept using mine

I'd be interested in hearing an answer to this question as well (I seem to remember one other place that sold a bulk ink system, but I can't remember the name). Just in case I have to borrow her printer to play with some heat transfers

Go to www.inklabel.com. They have a good selection of bulk systems and refillable cartridges.

Periscope, thanks for the link. I was always wondering if there is a printer able to print CD's (like my R300- supplied with dye ink) with pigment ink. Now I know that there is such ink for MY printer :-).
I wonder...is it safe for R300's print heads to be supplied with a pigment ink?

I haven't used pigment ink but if the company sells it for the R300 I'm sure it will work fine.

For my 1280, I purchased a refillable cartridge system. A lot easier and a lot less tubing. I got mine from AET. It was a lot less expensive than the other ones I looked at. The bottles interlock with the cartridges so you avoid the mess and the syringes.
