Default Please Show Your Unique Designs Done With Vinyl Cutter

Hello all,

I am considering getting a vinyl cutter, and I would like to see its capabilities as well as some unique things people have done with these machines. I am very interested in seeing any silver/gold or flock printing that you may have. I am interested in seeing any other examples done with a vinyl cutter. All help is greatly appreciated.

This is just a small portion of stuff Ive done with mine. I forgot to take a picture of one I did for my son in the Navy, but its a monkey ninja pirate (dont ask) all in flock. When cutting heavy materials like flock you just need to slow the cutting speed by a notch or two. Ive cut everything minus mask material and with a couple adjustments you can do sweet work. Much like with presses, if youre ready to buy, buy a machine that you can gron into, not learn to work around. A 24" machine is a great place to start looking and something with optics for contour cutting later down the road. Many of the garment materials like Spectra and Flex can be layered with very little effort so multi color designs are a breeze.

honestly its all up to you and your art skills. The plotters should be able to handle intense images. The hard part is weeding the cut images.

WOW!! That stuff looks GREAT! Can flock and glow in the dark vinyl be easily cut with let's say a GC-24 cutter? Also, I would like to know where did you get the glow in the dark roll as well as those jackets with the outcast design on them?

Thats actually reflective material. With my Designtech 24", all I have to do is change my user settings. For flock I up my down force and lower my cutting speed. In most cases, I just leave my settings to about 20 grams of down force and 18 cutting speed. This will aid in getting as clean of cuts as possible with any material.

Here is some of the stuff I have done with my cutter, using standard and flock vinyl:

My designs

Still pretty basic stuff, but only been in this trade for about a fortnight!

Cheers

I was going to start this exact thread because I'm in the same situation. Glad someone got it rolling for me.
