Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Has anyone been able to find a place that has IronALL transfers under any name since the factort relocated?
I'm thinking about going to MagicJet paper since I can't find it. What are the differences between the two? I know IronALL had a softer hand. Can you stretch MagicJet like you can IronALL without problems?
Thanks for any help you can give me. Thanks.
If you want to take a look at my very first order (130 shirts!) you can take a look at the slideshow at this link. The COARI design is my own.
Thanks for the compliment. I'm especially proud of the COARI logo. Did NMP finally get some more in? I guess I need to check back with them. I think John is the fellas name. Thanks.
Now that I think of it Lou, I think I was trying to get 11x17 from him. I ended up taping 2 8 1/2 x 11s together with 1" blue (painters) masking tape. It worked great. Thanks.

Rodney, I used 8 1/2 x 11 on the men's S-XL so the CO on those was about 10 1/4". I used 11 x 17 on the 2-3XL. The CO on those is a grand 15 1/2" to 16". In the future I will use a larger size on the XL shirts. The transfers are pressed on Hanes Beefy-Ts, white, grey, and natural. I really like the natural. The sheepsheads looked great on them. They have a raw look. I believe they are made of unbleached cotton. Just great for an outdoors theme.

Is there anyone who has used both IronALL and MagicJet transfers that can give me a comparison between the two? If MagicJet holds it's color longer and just has a little stiffer hand I may switch to it. Which one comes closest to screen print.
Thanks for all of y'all help. I know moderating this site takes a lot of time and energy. I'm one of the moderators at Coastal Outdoors, and the president of the Coastal Outdoors Foundation. COARI is our first project, and we expect to deploy our first reef cones in the next 2 weeks.

From what I've heard from those that have used both: IronAll is harder to work with, but has a much softer hand. Magic Jet is easy to use, has a bit more of a hand, but has brighter colors.
I'd suggest giving it a try anyway; you might even want to use both for different things, depending.

Is this something that can be done consistently to avoid having to buy a large format printer? I"m trying to decide if I want to pay extra for the large format printer but this would appear to be an answer if it worked.

So the regular transfers still looked good on the gray?
