Most of that link was just the search referrer, so I shortened it

I don't know much about heat presses. To me it seems like a reasonable deal if you can do local pickup, and not particularly good if you have to pay delivery. There's a lot to be said for name brand presses and merchants though (that is, reliability and accountability). Someone who actually knows a thing or two about heat presses should be along sooner rather than later to give better advice.

It looked like it could do the job. The handles look lite compared to my Mighty press same size. What was the price with shipping? It was not avaiable when I looked. Lou

What I saw from the picture is the construction of the handles. The seem to be thin. why is this important. When you open and close your press are they going to be able to stand-up to the use over time. I saw this unit being advertised on Ebay also but mostly coming out of China. However the price is great. But you get what you pay for. Lou

The only thing that would concern me is the heat press is the backbone of our business. We didn't skimp on this part. If it breaks down you are out of business. For the same price with free shipping you can get this one: http://www.coastalbusiness.com/index...D&ProdID=33973 or for just $176 more you can get this one:http://www.coastalbusiness.com/index...ROD&ProdID=434

Ok so I'll check to see the handles , and how they work in real life...

I was advised to stay away from the small one with the clamp, I need something that is 15x15, also the other units are in American funds, I live in Canada, so I would prefer to deal with a Canadian dealer in Can funds, I've have had such a hard time even locating a press in my city, so when I found this guy he blew my mind, plus he's only 30mins away from me... the dealer gets them direct from China, on ebay he sold one for 799 US..

I'm going to see it on friday, is there anything I should ask, or check for on the press....I'll look the handles over to see how strong they are...also I assume this is just a no-name brand...

thanks for all the help,

Check on the warrenty and his guarantee. I have seen this press out of asia on e-bay forever. I would try and get a 16x20 if he has one. Like Lou said...stay away from that small press...you will out grow it the day it arrives and you start dreaming.

Thanks for all the help, I got the press, I'm real happy, great seller, went and hung out with him for about 1hr, showed me how to use it, gave me some free transfers, did some demos for me, he used to fix them for a living, does all his support himself, will replace the whole machine if any issues...no complains!..

Mike

Where you get something from (local made or import) may not matter nearly as much as having an actual person or company willing to stand by their/its product.

I think it will work just fine but please let us know what you think about the equipment. You know what...an equipment and or supply review section on these forums would not be a bad idea.
