Default discharge or screen?

How expensive would discharge printing be , if we were comparing it screenprinting? I just read the post on how to discharge print, step by step. I know that this method is very popular now so has the price hit the roof! Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look, to get this done?

I called a guy I found over the net and I wanted to see how these numbers sound!

I wanted to get a 6x8 logo with a two color design.

10 bucks per screen(2)= 20.00
10 bucks per shirt(20)= 200.00
(8 bucks if I get 50)

20 shirts for 220.00

I've never had dicharge printing done before so I don't know if these numbers are good or bad.help!

Most shops do mark up water base printing a little bit over plastisol printing. Some do not. The reason why is that water base is more labor intensive, not much, but enough to warrant a little bit more $. Also, many shops do not print water base at all. If a shop doubles the price to print water base over plastisol, that seems like too much to me. a 10-25% upcharge from plastisol seems most reasonable...

hey Rodney,

could you move this thread to the screenprint section. I think I would get more replies in that section.
