Default heat press and budgets.

As of late I have received a lot of calls and emails asking for help about where to buy stuff to get into this business. which I try to do. Many of these people have asked where they could get a heat press for a real low price. Now in the past I would stir them away from Chinese models offered on Ebay. I did not see any of the large Sales company offer anything but the industry standards like the mighty press I use. Then Charles called me one day and said he was going to get the Sunie press. he had problems with his Hex and could not get it repaired. I asked him if he was sure if he wanted to do this. Hhe assured me the cost wasn't that great so it was a chance worth taking. So he did and as some of you know from his post here he has had no problems with his Sunie. So knowing him and believing him to have an honest face.. old but honest, I started recommending to my callers that they look into the sunie. Well to make your life easier in this case I see now that the sunie is being offered by non other then one of our sponsors here on the forum, Pro World www.proworldinc.com Now what is important about this is I know they would not sell anything they did not stand behind and that is important to people. it is that old thing called Customer Service and support. Please note I do not receive anything from them for this but just wanted our readers to know that this is an option to many with low budgets and want to get into this business. So your options just got larger. Lou

Lou,
I just received my Sunie/Seiko from (Ed) Pro World today. I haven't had time to take it out of the box (I should save it for my Christmas) but did want to say that customer service so far has been great. Ed answered several questions and pretty quickly.
I hope your statement "I know they would not sell anything they did not stand behind" proves to be true and it seems from what I've seen so far that it will be.
Susie

Thank you Lou, I know many here will be glad they have another option rather than eBay.
Some eBay vendors (and I am not talking about heat press vendor, because I have never bought a heat press there) have very good customer service. But it is hard taking a chance with your hard earned money, not knowing if you are going to be one of the lucky ones on eBay, or not.
Thank you

I took a chance and bought the sunie heat press and cutter package several months ago, and guess what that vinyl cutter and sunie had served me very good and made my buisness grow bigger. I purchased a second vinyl cutter and a mighty press and have the sunie laying around the house(not using it anymore) only for back up if i have to. But yes im very impressed with the outcome of this press for being a chinese model.

These chinese are a clever bunch and producing SOME good craftmanship ( i know their mopeds are rubbish!).
Our choices here in the U.K range from:

£595.00+VAT for an Adkins 38x38 Clam XP7000 from xpres.
TO
£195.00+ £12.50 P&P for a chinese import 38x38 clam press from Ebay.
Now I make that 3 times less It's not a tough choice for someone starting-up on a budget!

Phil

The problem is with Ebay is no one looks for the name Sunie and just buy any one of the cheap press. And yes I did have one and sold it for the same price I paid for it which it was $150.00.

The press is working just fine without problems and it is my main press right now...

I do agree with you. I got great deals on eBay.
I have and old audi A4, and parts for that car are expensive, indeed, but not if you buy it yourself from eBay !!!
I got a turbo for $252, when the regular price I was told was about $700.
It was installed and works like a charm.
My dear Dell Inspiron laptop was made in China.
The question is who is backing the product made in China that you buy.
Coastal Business is selling a mug press from China, and I know if I buy it, and have a problem I could get them to fix it, replace it etc.
Same would be true with Proworld.
Check the back of your 50 inch plasma TV, and probably you would discover it was made in China, too.
And what is not made in China today?

Is this Seiko as in the Seiko Epson corporation? If they are the manufacturers then I would trust that either the product is good or that they will have good tech support to stand behind it.
Epson is well used and trusted on this site for their printers and Seiko is known for other quality electronics as well.

I'm not sure as I'm pretty new to all of this but I think it is SUNIE SEIKO. Probably others will chime in soon.

You would be correct. I even bought my Roland blades from there outfit in carson City where Charles got his press. I think Ed at ProWorld has a great offer on the press for a lot of new people. Lou

I got my Sunie/Seiko from Ed at ProWorld. He was great at answering my questions and getting back to me quickly. I can't believe how big it is. I played yesterday.
HEY, if anyone really reads these what would make the press flip up in the back when I was trying to close it??? The pressure to high????
