Default Heat Press Trace Marks

after the heat press,, it leaves a mark or a trace of the outline of the image.

it was a problem for us because the trace looks obvious.
we tried ironing it to remove it but it seems not to work.

we are using sublimation ink on sublimation paper.
dats all.

i hope anyone can give some tips and advice.
thank you in advance.

Is it a trace of the transfer sheet or the press platen?

In addition to Joe's Q, what are you pressing "onto"?

i am using polyster shirt. some polycotton to match the sublimation ink on a sublimation paper. i just heat press it for 180 seconds. and a cartolina is place under the shirt to prevent it from tracing over the back of the shirt if ever. dats all. thanks.

OK, I think I see your problem. Fisrt off, shirt face up, then transfer face down on shirt, then plain copy paper on top of that to prevent dye from getting on heat platen. Now, 375 degrees farenheit for 10 to 15 seconds with medium to high pressure, then hot peel. See how that works. 180 seconds is fine for a ceramic mug, but way too long for cloth. Hope this helps. Also make sure your fabric is either 100% poly or no less than 65% poly. The less poly the less the transfer will take.

Great post, Loretta, and I'll only add this:
Celcius and Fahrenheit Converter

A fahrenheit and celcius converter, bc that machine is from China, probably works in celcius.

375 F = 190 Celcius
