Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
hello all! i am wanting to purchase a heat press but a unsure what size?
i am just starting up so it wont be high production, although if i purchase a 15x15 and my design is larger can i press in 2 ?? or will this affect the t-shirt or transfer (ink jet or sub)
I like the full t-shirt front jumbo prints.
also does anyone know what the best softest feel tranfer paper there is on the market, i am in the uk.
many thanks in advance
michelle
You can do all over printing with a 15x15 press if the artwork allows it. You can't take 1 transfer larger than 15x15 and apply that. But if your artwork is non-continuous and can be placed on 2 or more transfers, then you would simply press one transfer at a time on the same garment.
For example, this garment was done with more than 1 transfer
I am working with a rather large puff transfer. I have no problem with the smaller ones. Heating to 385m preheating shirt for 5-7 seconds then pressing for 7-8 seconds. The basic transfer comes off great. Letters or small designs at the bottom do not come off. I am trying to remove as fast as possible. I've tried to pull from the top left corner, ther bottom left corner, Can't get it to work. Any ideas? Thanks
