Default How to print "reflective" for Heat Transfer

Aloha All,

Probably a very elementary question. But here goes:

How do I print my designs "backwards or reflective or mirrored"
so they come out correctly when I transfer them to a t-shirt?

This varies depending on printer and application. Most applications utilize the standard print dialog though.

What you will want to do is at this dialog, select the proper printer, then go to Properties. I've attached a copy of the standard print dialog below (first photo).

In there somewhere (it varies depending on printer), you should see a "Mirror" option. Select this and then tell it to print (sample of one of my printers in second photo).

You will need to do this each time if you are using the printer for printing regular documents as well. If you are using it solely for transfers, then you can usually set the defaults for the printer to mirror by default under Printers & Faxes (assuming you're running XP).

Thanks for the reply.

I am using a mac, and my printer dialogue box does not seem to have an option for mirroring.

Anyone have any other advise?

Thanks!

chris, in photoshop and illlustartor, in the toolbar you should see a mirror. or right click your mouse on graphic, and see it if says reverse, mirror?
Let me know, if you can find it i iwll open my photoshop to help, i would reverse before sending to printer.
