Default beginner questions for the patient presser

I'll be printing on onsies and lap tees. you just place the whole shirt under the press, right? you don't put just the top do you? What do I need to put between the transfer and the press? One more question, why would someone need heat tape?

thank you

heat tape is used to hold numbers and letters down for transfering onto t-shirts mainly. For printing, just put the shirt on the press. Put your transfer ontop of the shirt, and press. There should be no seperation between the shirt/transfer and the top of the press. Between the shirt and the bottom of the press, it is desirable to have a pad.

Well, it is also recommended that you use a teflon sheet between the transfer aper and the top of the press because I guess the ink can potentially 'leak' out around the edges of the paper and get on the top of the press. It isn't really needed, but it couldn't hurt.
