Default Heat Press on Baseball Bat Bag?

Okay, I have a customer that has bat bags. They are the really nice bags that have almost a canvas like feel to the outside. They also have a nylon zipper that will also be in the press and a very thin nylon film type material on the inside. I have a Hotronix 16" x 20" clam press. I would like to use the Joto Paper Multicut film to heat press. It requires 340 degrees for 20 seconds.

1. Do I need to worry about the zipper?

2. The thin nylon material on the inside, any concern there?

3. Is this a goof film to use for this application?

Any other advice?

Joto is great stuff and has worked well for me on the different types of bags I've printed. I'd recommend using a TEE PAD IT! or teflon pad under the area you want to print or even better would be a sleeve platen or hat press depending on the size of the design. The main thing you are after is raising the area to press above the height of the zipper or to get the zipper off the side of the platen so the zipper doesn't interfer with the pressure on the bag and graphic.

I would also use a teflon sheet or something on the inside of the bag because some materials allow a little print to come through the weave of the material and will stick the inside of the bag together or at least leave residue.

Thanks. Would I need something like the "Teflon Pillow" or the "Print Perfect Pads" like are on this website:

Equipment ID - Stahls' Accessories

Or is it something else I need?

Those are basically what I'm talking about, but I've only used the ones that Lou sells at www.heatpressessentials.com and I bet they are cheaper than Stahls. The Interchangeable Platens for Stahls' Hotronix® Clam Press listed below those are what I'm talking about when I mention the sleeve platen. They really make things easier for pressing around seems, zippers, or just minimizing the area exposed to heat. I don't have one for my Hotronix 16x20 clam, but I use the sleeve platen all the time on my Hix CHE-2400 for all kinds of things I never thought about when I got it. I'll likely get a smaller square one because I use the sleeve platen alot for bags and sometimes it would be nice to have the smaller square for cinch sacks and such.
