Printed color differs from the color on the screen
Hi Guys,
I am using Forever Transfer papers for light and dark garment and use Aculaser C1100 laser printer. I have a problem while printing them.. Printed color differs from the color on the screen. For example when I print out dark red - it comes out as pale red.. Toners are new. I even tried printing on to a normal white paper and still its the same problem. may be I should set up something in the printer or probably in the Corel X3 packaging which I am using?

Please help me with this situation..
This is a common problem with printing. People doing designs should never expect the colors on their screen to be the ones they are printing. Make sure the hex color code is the color you want.
Don't just look up at you screen and say that looks right. Red is not red. It could be ff0000 or ff0033 but if you look at both on the screen they will look the same, or close to it. I linked a place to check for hex numbers. also if you are working with a scren printer you may want to know about pantone colors. I would bet the colors in the box look different on your screen then mine. But because I use the hex code they should print the same.Lou

I often print a grid of different color shades that I'm using in my design so I can choose the best looking one. Also be sure to test on the actual material you will be using as many colors and different materials will effect the color results as well.

What software are you using? If you click on the color that you are using in the design it should give you the code numbers. On Illustrator when you click the color box on the tool bar a color picker box opens and displays the codes for that color.
