Exclamation Heat Pressing on Dark 50/50 Poly Shirts

Hi, so I'm doing some 'duratrans' heat pressing on dark 50/50 shirts and I see a very slight ghosting when the heat press was applied.

I washed the shirt and its still there. It's like that area has a 'sheen' or 'satin' look to it.. Its not horrible but is there any way around this? Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thanks
Tony

Do you mean around the design. Like it might me where the design is not?

Its a pocket T, and I"m printing right above the pocket so I put a mousepad under there. I can see the shape of the mousepad. If I dont use the mouse pad, its the whole heat press.. anywhere the heat hits the shirt.

Yes of course because you are pressing it. There is no other way. I press the whole shirt after I do any transfer. You will always have a difference between pressed area and non pressed area.

No its not like that.

It may be that I'm pressing it for too long thus sheening the fabric.

I have it at 12 sec. Instructions call for 5-7. I will try 10, then 8.
