hey, i'm new to the t-shirt business and need a little help, i've been designing for a while now and decided to put my designs to good use and make them into wearable art. . . . . But i have no i dea of what equipment to get i am on a budget so i can't get the creme de la creme immediatley but i do want to create quality t-shirts, i'm looking at heat pressing with vinyl, plastisol and with the paper i've been reading alot about JPSS paper, i'm guessing thats one of the best!? any info anyone could spare would be much appreciated.

i've found this website which is based in the UK i'm just not sure whether the equipment they've got is any good! any help

Welcome aboard and you came to the right place. You have decided to go with heat pressing with vinyl, plastisol, and jpss paper.
1. You will need a heat press.
2. To heat press with vinyl you will need a vinyl cutter.
3. Plastisol transfers can be custom ordered but if you want to make them yourself you will need screen printing equipment.
4.JPSS paper just purchase, print your design with your printer, heat press onto the shirt.

Now as for the where to get the equipment you will find many here that have different opinions about different equipment types. You will have to do some searching on this forum to get a better idea for what is best for you and your budget.

There is A LOT of GREAT information here so I suggest you take some time and read up on the many post in which you have an interest and you will get most of your questions answers.

I read a little on the web page you linked;

You mentioned JPSS paper; the packages on the website are for sublimation printing. JPSS paper is for ink jet transfer making - not recommended with sublimation ink.

You can do a lot of things with sublimation that you can't do with ink jet printing (like coffee mugs and jigsaw puzzles), but you can't print on dark colored garments. In addition, your shirts need to be a 50 cotton/50 polyester mix (I believe).

You can do a search for 'sublimation' on this website and I'm sure there's a ton of good info available if that's the route you wanna go.

I know that JPSS not recommended with sublimation ink, But it will work I have used it and made 200 transfer with it. And the color I thought it was brighter. For the cost it does cost more to use sud ink
