If you are talking about the difference between
DTG and a printed heat transfer such as JetPro SoftStretch (
JPSS) then I'll throw in my $.02....
I own a T Jet 2 and also print using
JPSS and believe that for photo's, the
JPSS actually produces a more vibrant and accurate color reproduction than my
DTG does. Especially with people of color.
This comparison is based on printing on white shirts where I would give the clear nod to
JPSS. However, it does leave a "box" on light garments and cannot be used on dark or colored garments. Other opaque transfer are available for that but have a much more plastic feel that
DTG.
