Default Pre Stretching T-Shirts?

I was at my local mall & saw one of those kiosk people do T-Shirts with an ink jet printer.

He had what looked like a plastic or thick cardboard sheet in the outline of your chest which he inserted inside the t-shirt before applying the transfer.

It more or less held the t-shirt flat so he could line up the transfer properly and probably stretched the shirt a bit also.

Can these be purchased online or is it something this guy probably made himself?

Thanks!
Kevin
