Default Patches and Transfers for hats

Does anyone know what temp settings and dwell times to use for pressing an adhesive patch to a hat?

I know the heat transfer packs, vinyl rolls, etc come with instructions, but I haven't found any information regarding pressing patches.

Also, can you press printed heat transfer sheets(like T-shirts) to hats/visors? Or are vinyl transfers preferred? What if the hats are 100% Acrylic?

Thanks!

It's a no-name visor, and the tag says "100% acrylic, one size fits all, made in Vietnam". I picked up a few at the local flea market to try out, but didn't notice the material type until I got home. I just looked around and picked a few colors and styles when I bought them.
