Default Fine lines with plastisol heat press transfers vs screen printing

Hi,

I was looking at getting some designs printed that involve some relatively fine lines. I would prefer to use plastisol heat transfers as I have a heat press however I am worried about being able to peel these successfully.

Is it the case that plastisol heat tranfers require a larger minimum line thickness, or is it pretty much the case that if you can screen it, you can press it?

Thanks.

plastisol transfers are screen printed, I would think it would be the same. .... JB

If you check the art requirements of various transfer producers they will give you the minimum line thickness they can print, its usually 1 or 2 points.

Can someone tell me what a "measurement" for 1 or 2 point might be? 3/32" ? 1/16" ? ??? Sometimes some of my designs get pretty fine.

72 pts equals 1 inch, so a point is pretty fine.

1 point = .014 inches = 1/72"

If you use a vector program like Illustrator, Draw, Inkscape; they will allow you measure in points.
