Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Hey Everyone... So here's my question...I found some really cute transfers online that I want to use...am I able to put them on my shirts to sell?? Is there copyright issues? I was told, (about embroidery) that there are no copyright issues unless you are using something as your logo. If you are just using them, then there is no problem. Is this the same with the heat transfers that you find online & places like Wal-mart & Michaels?? Anyone can use them on the products they are selling? Also, does anyone know how much professional heat presses cost? Where can you buy them? Do iron on transfers last long & hold up well? Sorry for all the questions!! Any feedback would be appreciated!

Where did you find the transfers? Some places sell heat transfers that are specifically for resale, like proworldinc.com

I don't think there's a blanket answer for that. It may depend on where you buy it.

There's a wide range of prices depending on the size and functionality. Probably anywhere from $300-$1500
Depends on who you ask (and what your market is) and which transfers you're using. Some heat transfer types have a better quality than others. If you're doing it for a hobby, an iron might be OK, but if you plan on selling the items, you will want to get a heat press for the best results.
These posts will help you figure out which is a good heat press to buy (there are articles and videos here):
