Hey guys im new here but im doing transfer pritning for a year for now..
I used to make the designs and print them at someones store.. which uses HP printer i dont know its model..
The prob that the print dont hold first wash and colors fade within a month so i lift heat transfer away and made silkscreen for time.. but im in love with the heat thinge..
and when i heard about the DURABrite ink i decided to buy an EPSON..
I live in EGYPT and the only EPSON models that are available in the MIDeast are CX4300 7300 8300 and 4900 C87 and 2100
i dont know which one to buy but my head went for the CX4300 cause its the cheapest
but if it wont make the work so i may buy any other model that would help..
I just like to know if all these models are compatible with heat transfer paper or not ?
and if there is any other tips and hints i may use to develop my work...

Pigment ink is the key to HT paper prints holding up.The jet soft pro stretch for light garments and the jetwear for dark garments are both great paper to use. .... JB
when i use pigment ink is that means the colors could resist washing machine and if not should i use the former tips for the customer u know hand wash ans inside out and keep water away from the printing or is it safe and i shouldnt mention it ??
It is a good idea to wash the garments inside out. I don't with Jetprosofstretch (JPSS) paper, and I don't have any problems at all. That is a very good paper for white/light shirts. I don't turn it inside out, I have used bleach, and washed on high heat dryer and there are no problems.
If you use a printer with Durabrite ink (pigment) it will not fade if you use a good paper with it. Durabrite can still fade if you use Ironall for lights paper, but that is because of the Ironall paper, it has fade problems. I use Jetprosofstretch, and a printer with Durabrite (or pigment ink), and my shirts do not fade.

well i got the CX4300 how can i make sure its ink is durabrite it came with 4 individual ink cartridges the black has the number T0921
C T0922
M T0923
Y T0924
and there is a number on all of them its 92
there no word says durabrite on the ink although its written on the box i just wanna make sure its pegment ink
i also need help to setup my ink configuration and settings as i heard that there is difference in the color thing?
I know i sound like lost but im new to the pigment ink thing
With my new epson I have not made any ink configuration so far don't need to. But you will need to test it print out transfer then press then look at the colors. If you need to change any it probably be the yellow you go and make change some times it is -25 on the yellow hope these helps

Did you click on the link I gave you above for the cx4300? Does your printer look like that printer and does it say DuraBrite Ultra on the bottom right emblem?
My cartridges also do not say Durabrite ink on them, but my cartridges DO say Epson on them. Do yours? This is important.
If the answer is yes to all of these, then I think you have Durabrite ink, if you bought this printer brand new in the box.

Do you mean the heavy yellow tones? If you go to printer preferences and go to settings, you will see the settings for magenta, cyan and yellow. Alot of us seem to use Magenta +, Cyan +5, and yellow -10 to -20, depending on how warm you want the picture. These are just average settings, but alot of folks seem to go by them.

thx alot girlzndollz i searched alot to find such a page full of preferences at EPSON but i couldnt find i hate that regional selection on the start page it only ables u to browse products available in ur region.
and the answer is yes i have the ticket thing and everything u said i just cant believe that the printer is cheaper than the Durabrite ink it self i now made a 100% comfort when i saw on the back of the product box a picture of the multipack and it showed clearly my cartridges numbers and the DURABrite logo and the cute deer on it

Yes!! I do, too, I dislike the regional thing. Keep that page I linked you to in the above post. Bookmark it. It lets you do searches beyond regional.
That was how I found your printer. When I searched USA, there were no returns. I found this search page thru google, so save it, because it allowed me to see your printer in English rather than when I looked in your region and only saw it in Isreal, and I couldn't read the language.
So that is another problem solved, the search box in those links lets you search across the regions.

That is how inkjet printers are. The printers are cheap and the ink is expensive. The printers waste alot of ink, too. That is why most people switch from Epson Durabrite ink to a re-fill cartridge system, or a bulk ink system. Those ink systems are called compatible ink systems. The ink is made by another company, not Epson, and you can buy pigment ink cheaper that way.

I know, I saw that, too, but in the link to "yields" it was good to see your cartridge number. Actually, I put the cartridge number into that search (in the link above - it wouldn't work on the USA pages.)

cause i never used a printer before i used to export my designs from COREL DRAW to JPEG with CMYK color sys yeah they look brighter than the actual design in corel as i use sometimes RGB colors but when printed it gives the final colors that i knew on the design
so now as im going to print directly from the corel sheet i would like to know if i should use CMYK or RGB output ??
