I have the C88+ printer from Epson. I am trying to install a CIS system, but can't get started. System is marked for the C88. It came empty. filled the tanks and let ink flow into the cartridges. Looked OK. Went ahead and installed the new carts and turned on the printer. It says ink level is low. Screen shows all 4 carts with a red X. Bottom of cartridge looks wet. Tried turing system off as recommended in instructions, but same problem when I turn it back on. Any idea about what is going on. (This is an import system. Tech support has not responded and I don't expect them to)
I bought a CIS system for my CX7800 that gave me similiar problems. My Tech Sheet that came with it advised to leave the printer on for 30 minutes then turn off and see if that helped.
Ultimately the system was utter and complete crap. I ended up eating the cost & replacing it with a system from inkjetfly. It was another 50 bucks spent, but was installed and printing within 5 minutes without the headaches.

That's what I will have to do. Current system is trashed. Put OEM cartridges in for now. Printer works fine, but I have the color correction problems with Durabrite inks.
I would gladly have paid more for a system I knew would work. First impulse was to buy from TLM because I wanted to use the MAgic Mix inks. Low cost foreighn competotrs apparently made it unprofitable for them to make CIS for my printer. Low cost suppliers provide lousy support and have some technical problems.
The systems appear simple. I assume the key is for new comers to follow proper fll and prime procedures. Unfortunately, the manual for the system I purchased was obviously written by a non-english speaking person. Pictures did not match the system I was sent. All of the typical issues. I believe the system I brought was imported from Hong Kong. It would probably work well if the instruction manual were better written.
For the record, I brought the system from InkExpress4U on Ebay after I found I could not get a system from TLM. I only paid $37 for the empty system. It is a chipped system and the final problem was that two of the four cartridges were not recognized by the prionter. Put Epson cartridges back in and the sytemworked fine again, so problem was Ruthie you apparently liked you system from inkjetfly? Any other suggestions for good solid systems?

Have you tried adjusting the color profile when printing? I don't have any color shift problems with Durabrite anymore, after I set it to -15 Yellow, +5 Cyan, +5 Magenta.
Yeah, stay away from Inkexpressforyou on ebay. Same story different address. My system wouldnt recognize one of the four colors, ink everywhere-such a drag. Do check out inkjetfly. It has one central block not 4 individuals for the pre-filled ink & does not require you to break your printer & void warranty in order for it to function. Live and learn huh? Good luck.

I agree 100% with you. Inkexpress4U CIS is not worth it. I bought one for my Epson 1280 sent an email to these guys explaining the problem and they never get back to me.
I think I'm going to stay away not only from inkexpress4u but from ebay when it comes to heat press supplies. Is better to pay a little bit more from sellers that offer good customer support.
My problems are the exact opposite.... the ebay presses and ink systems work fine, the mug press gotten from Knight isn't trustworthy enuff to use.
If my sublimation printer sits for a few days, I put about 10 pages of normal paper in it, run the printer nozzle and alignment tests on all those papers, and it is ready to work fine. It seems to dry out with non-use. I have several C88's
