Howdy,
I am using the inkjetcarts.us refillables.
Was wondering if removing the chips from the real epson carts and replacing the chips on the refillables was a good idea or bad or wouldn't really matter ?
I am mostly interested in getting the ink amount in the carts. Hate when I have to reprint cuz I ran out and have to take time to refill and redo the job.
It might work if you can reset the chip from the OEM. Another thing is the contacts of the OEM chip that are located on the back of the PC board have to line up with contacts in the inkjetcarts. I just took out the chip from an empty OEM cartridge and the contacts are leaf spring loaded that mates with the contacts on the back of the PC. I did not try taking out from the inkjetcarts. For fear of destroying a good cartridge.

So how are you watching them w/o taking them out ? I can't see anything in mine. ?
Thanks
Mark
Mark, the best practice is to check them periodically depending on usage. You can keep a log of prints and refills if it helps. My monitor shows them full when I refill. It then tracks usage. When it starts to show low I check them and refill. The carts I have are clear, makes refilling easier.
