Does anyone know of any tricks to get the backing off Alpha Gold, without tearing? the reason I ask is I'm doing a borderless jpeg image on a black shirt. It's leaving a white mark where I tore it to get the backing off. Sorry for the resolution of the pic, was in a hurry.
I normally contour cut mine and then it's easier with part of it removed... I use a razor blade and just lift it up a bit then pull on it the rest of the way with my fingers.
For a full sheet it will be a little tougher and I see the problem.
1 thing i do when doing a large sheet is to leave a bit of the edge that is white still on ,then use this end, take a pin and stab it in and gently pull ,once the edge lifts off pull from that bit.Trim off the white before printing Hope this helps.

That is what I was going to suggest. You can also use a weeding tool. Harbor freights has a set of pick tools similar to weeding tool for a few bucks.
