At the recent Sign & Digital UK show, TheMagicTouch gave a sneak preview of the new software tailored specifically for customers focused on the image transfer market - the MagiCut 6.0.
Nathan Newbury, head of technical, explained: "The new MagiCut 6.0 Professional design software is a combination of popular design features, product templates, artwork galleries and our existing MagiCut software all rolled into one."
He added: "One of many advantages is the ease of use and intuitive functions. Many users struggle to master established software, quickly leading to frustration. But the new MagiCut software will enable users to develop their business quicker, benefiting in both the short and long term."
As recent winners of the Printwear & Promotion Excellence Award for Technical Innovation 2008 TheMagicTouch continues to develop and improve new and exciting image transfer applications for the future.
Although the image transfer process is still predominantly associated with T-shirts and promotional garments, said the company, it has several new products available, which it claims have equal marketing potential.
These include the wooden wine/champagne gift boxes for full colour decoration and personalization; new cork-backed coasters and placemats; and new Nylon Flex and Fashion Flex products within the MagiCut range of materials that can be applied using a normal heat press.
TheMagicTouch offers sales and marketing support with a comprehensive range of image transfer solutions including all aspects of toner transfer, sublimation, consumables, heat press equipment, plotters/cutters with the relevant stocks of printable items.

Global pioneer of digital image transfer TheMagicTouch is this month introducing a new A3 toner colour digital LED printer from Oki. The 8800 model with TMT firmware and TMT driver upgrades enables full compatibility with all transfer papers from TheMagicTouch.
The new printer has received some incredible reviews from the trade press, says TheMagicTouch, giving high recommendations and evaluations.
The new A3 printer complements the existing A4 models, which have been well received over the past six months, helping to confirm TheMagicTouch as the prestigious “Best New Dealer” at Oki’s recent UK digital conference.
Md Jim Nicol said: “Oki toner-based printers are available for a few hundred pounds and represent outstanding quality, reliability and value for money.
“Image transfer using toner based transfers has never been better and enables the user to enjoy the many marketing benefits of the technology, without any financial risk.”
The new pulverised toners give excellent results on all fabrics and textiles, including 100% cotton, regardless of colour or composition, adds Nicol, and of course can be used for normal plain paper copies at 15 per minute for A3 and 26 per minute for A4.
TheMagicTouch also urges garment decorators to make use of its sales services, such as personalised samples and products that it can produce for its customers to show both their existing and prospective clients.
“Experience proves that target marketing combined with a planned follow up results in a higher conversion rate of orders,” says Nicol. “This type of regular contact with existing clients is also very rewarding and assists in building better customer profiles, while enabling their full purchasing potential to be realised.”
According to Nicol, the market is changing, with clients wanting less, more often, and indeed quicker than ever before. With this in mind,TheMagicTouch continues to operate in-house training, sales and marketing seminars for existing clients.
The focus this year has been on database management and target marketing. All courses are held at the company’s newly expanded training facility in Dunstable, Bedfordshire and remain free of charge for existing clients.
The company is equipped to offer a comprehensive range of image transfer solutions including all aspects of toner transfer, sublimation, consumable supply, heat press equipment, and technical support.
“The recently launched WoW7.1 transfer paper for the decoration of dark colour garments and fabrics has surpassed all expectations and has assisted in changing many views held by traditional screen printers and embroiderers as to their expectations of the transfer process and its capabilities,” adds Nicol.
The company will launch the new WoW7.1 transfer paper to the US market at this year’s SGIA event in Orlando in October.
