Default possible problem with black ink using epson 2200 with ultrachrome inks

i am using a epson 2200 with ultrachrome inks.the transfer paper is masterjet, a very soft hand after 1 washing....after 5 washings have noticed that the blacks are fading much faster than the colors...is this normal, although the colors look very bright, still alittle concern with the blacks....thanks for any comments....steve
