Default "best" transfer paper

Here's a couple of newbie questions. Will greatly appreciate replies.
1. I am looking for the best value for T shirt transfer paper. Have used All Weather Products paper and found that it peels on edges and has a hard plastic feel.
Several inkjet transfer paper makers promise stretchy, soft feel. Is this so? Which paper you you prefer, considering price as well, for both white and colored shirts?
2. So far I've been trimming transfer paper with exacto-knife and scissors. Have been putting a colored rectangular background on most designs to make trimming easier. Any advice available short of buying a computerized cutter?
3. Is there a link tutorial that answers many of the basic questions about heat transferring to t-shirts.
4. Which are most important variables in heat transferring: temperature, pressure or time?
btw, I use a Canon pixma Mp610 printer with a used GeoKnight Jet Press 12 X 14.
Thanks,
Huey

Default Re: "best" transfer paper

i use nDure transfer paper. its a inkjet transfer that transfers ink into cotton, its pretty durable, you can feel it, but not much, cause it's not sitting on the shirt like a lot of transfer, its actually in the cotton. it does leave a shadow from the paper so trimming is needed.
you can buy it from www.bestproductsavaliable.com, i think thats the site.
its a good paper, i think its one of the best avaliable.
