Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I am wanting to print transfers on my ink jet printer. While doing some research I found Alpha Supply company. They were advertising a continuous ink system that is supposed to have good quality ink. I was wondering if anyone has tried this ink and if it is good quality stuff? Can the ink hold up for a couple of washes? What kind of transfer paper would you use?
Hi, You might want to give Jack a call at Alpha Supply and ask him a few questions thats on your mind, he has been in the business for a long long time , he has a great educational site and he is all about education,,, great guy and a real tribute to this industry.
I have been using there CIS system for a month or so and produced over 400 transfer with it so far, it's working great and I love it, I also use there Alpha for Darks transfer paper as well.
I swear by the ink from Alpha Supply. I bought the CIS I don't know how long ago, as well as their transfer paper. I purposefuly did not apply the transfer right to see how long it lasts. I'd say it's been about four months now and the transfers are just starting to rip, and the inks are still bright as ever. They look amazing on paper as well. The people at Alpha are really nice, helpful, and know what they're talking about.
