I use Epson and Lexmark inkjet printers for printing on SuperSoft transfer paper (white shirts only) which I then transfer with heat press. Cost varies a lot because some people only want a word or a phrase, while others want a full color photograph. I charge about 15 USD per shirt for these custom shirts (I am in Mexico).

looking to buy epson 1400 but still dont know how much ink is going to cost me and how many prints I can make with one set of ink
You are using epson (witch one ) and how much you paying inks ?
The epson is best because of the print heads used in them . The epson ink performs great also. Their are refillable cartridges for the epsons and after market ink that works real good. I have bought these after market supllies at Dyesub products, Tshirt press, ink cartridge, license plate and have been very pleased with the quality. ....... JB

Croatia huh? I love the color of the ocean in Split and Dubrovnik is a dream!
I think you should check with the store where you are buying the printer and maybe even the Epson website, and then you can find out how many pages you can print full color, partial etc etc. All the Epson printers are good and some are so cheap they are practically disposable!! I use the C90 printer and I think it cost me 40 or 50 USD.
Check around to see what's available and talk to the sales people. I don't know what stores are in Croatia but there must be some place where the sales people know what they are talking about.
