Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
16x20 Hotronix. I got all of my shirts in today too but the material has yet to come as well as the Cutter/Printer we ordered. I cannot wait to get into the swing of it.
I'm about to go into the office and get to work on some shirts. I am going to be making hundreds of shirts over the next week or so. Any tips for cranking out hundreds of shirts at a time or advice about the heat press I have?
It looks like you're setup in a warehouse so, the electrical system should be prtty updated ( check that first)....After that, just make sure you don't overwork your heat press. Remember...You only brought one Good Luck!!!
Thanks for the advice. We are a music venue offering merchandise to some of the artists that play in our club. Typically, how many shirts are able to be produced in what period of time?
The number of shirts depends on media used and how fast you can press them. It looks like you picked good equipment. Congrats and good luck. ...... JB

Congrats on your purchase! I suggest one Teflon cover for your lower platen size and one Teflon sheet.

I would advise that you get a t-square it. It's for aligning your design to make sure it is centered.

I thought about it but I think I will try doing it by eye. Fold the shirt in half to crease it and align the image. The logo alignment tool may be something I get even if I decide against getting the tsquare it.
I understand what the teflon covers are for... I think? Anyone care to enlighten me further on those?
Also, any dos and don'ts I should know going into this?
Trey, I did that method for a while, but the Teesquareit and the Log it are premier alignment tools. They will pay for themselves very quick. I use them everyday and have bought 3 of each. This allows me to have 1 bye each press and saves me from searching. I encourage you to try your way, but not to discount the importance of these tools . I wish you the beat and please share your creations.I always love to see others ideas on fabric. ..... JB
